Coaches & Training
Training Facilities
The Club has access to a number of developed facilities with a focus on two tracks in particular:
- The Wilson, Caterer and Farr ovals at St Peter’s College, Hackney. This includes an all weather 110 metres 4 lane track, long and triple jump run ups and pits, marked 300 and 400 metres grass tracks, high jump apron, javelin run-up, a high standard pole vault facility, caged hammer and discus circles, a shot put circle and strinding boxes. Equipment for all athletic events is available to be used on these ovals. The club also has access to the school's gym and pool.
- Athletics SA Stadium, Mile End. Coaches and athletes who wish to use this facility must make their own arrangements for again access to the venue and equipment.

Saints School based squad (Junior boys and girls):
This squad is lead by a team of experience coahes with a range of supporting coaches. The lead coaches are:
- Hans van Bavel (AA Level 4 coach) - Sprints
- Tony Keynes (AA Level 4 coach) - Sprints, Hurdles and Middle Distance
- Nick Birks (ex Commonwealth Games champion) - Throws
- Chris Minchin - Jumps
Training is conducted at the St Peter's College northern ovals (Wilson, Caterer and Farr ovals), from 3.50pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the season with other days or locations as negotiated. Open Aged athlete trainings:
Open aged athletes are welcome to join trainings at the St Peter's College northern ovals (Wilson, Caterer and Farr ovals), from 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Rick Wilson's squad: 100m through to 3000m, girls and boys from 12 years of age to adults:
- Based at the St Peter's College school from 4.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Athletes may select their own coaches especially in specialist events e.g. pole vaulting etc., as the club believes in satisfying the needs of the athlete and encouragement for them to achieve their potential.
